PUBLIC PALACE LAB at BARE BONES 2024 for The Farm

Using ‘The MATERIAL’ (a 15m x 25m white drape purchased from eBay in 2016), PUBLIC PALACE presented a lab at Bare Bones for The Farm working with a provocation of collective action and materiality.

Departing from PUBLIC PALACE’s shared art-making methodologies, participants were invited to investigate, manipulate and consider the spatial implications of the object in relation to their own body and then that of the collective body (the group). Each action in the context of the LAB was framed as an ‘attempt’; an action to achieve what is desired.
